The Commission of Elections (Comelec) has appealed to the public that they should fill their patience jar up to brim as traffic and chaos is expected to occur on the first day of the campaign period for Senkyo 2014.

Ace, the commissioner of Comelec has announced in a phone interview as requested for the details of tomorrow's activity. "Teiko is usually a pacifist country until elections occur and we all know the reason for that, so I just want to public to bear the chaos for the moment." He added.

Tomorrow will be start of the campaign period and it is expected that the four major political parties of Teiko will simultaneously do their on-stage performance and introduction in Kirisaki Daichi and Kamizaki. Comelec has warned that main roads including Makoto Avenue, AGC Parkway, Chuo Boulevard and Niji Road will all be virtually impassable by tomorrow afternoon.

Etymology

The name Teikō is taken from the kanji:
"TEI" which means sovereign

 and

“KŌ” which means light.

Although many folklores has tried to explain the origin of the name Teikō, historical records shows that the most factual is the visitation of the Britannian explorer and missionary Renfred Destain during his expedition of the western coast in 1798. It was Renfred who first coined the place as Teikō which is Kaijo in the modern day period as referred to his journals in which he explained his exciting encounters with the gods during his spiritual exercises. Eventually, upon his return to Britannia, the whole surroundings lands of the present day Kaijo has been collectively termed as Teikō.

The official name of the Commonwealth of Teikō has changed several times in the course of the country’s history. During the colonization of the Holy Britannian Empire, the entire country was named Districto Eleven (District 11) as referred to as being the 11th district to be colonized by the Britannians. From the period of the commonwealth years until the proclamation of independence the country is called Commonwealth of Teikō. From the reunification in 1986 after the civil war, the name Teikō began to appear and it has since been the country’s common name. As of today, the name Commonwealth of Teikō is being used again to distinguish it from the Teikō prefecture with the full official name of Independent Principality of the Commonwealth of Teikō recognized internationally.

As for romanization, the Commonwealth of Teikō recognizes the word "Teiko" rather than "Teikou" when written in English for this has been the culture for many decades.

Ethnicity

Teiko is inhabited by a number of different ethnic groups. The majority of the population is composed ethnolinguistic groups whose language is in East Asian in origin but is heavily contaminated by the Britannian culture. Many of these groups are pagan and had continued to live the tradition of the original Teikonian culture. The major ethnic groups are Teikonian, Beikanese, Kaijonese, Rakunean, Seirinian, Junichese, Nakian, and Kamataean.

According to the 2013 census, four of the largest ethnic groups compose 57% of Teiko's population. These are broken down into 23% of all Teikonian are Teikonian themselves in origin, 15% are Rakunean, 10% are Beikanese, 9% are Seirinian. The remaining 43% is further classified into the other ethnic groups.

Teikonians generally belong to the Asian culture classified linguistically as part of the East Asian speaking people. It is believed that a few years ago, Japanese speaking people migrated to the country through rafts and boats bringing with them knowledge of agriculture and ocean-sailing. The two most important non-indigenous minorities includes the Japanese and Britannian. Britannian-Teikonian, mostly migrated during the Aang Period in 1965 where immigration to Teiko was still loose and open.
